Our Story
Delivering quality chilled & ambient food since 1984
For over 40 years, Clegg’s Chilled Food Service has proudly supplied chilled and ambient food products across the North of England. From our base in Longridge, Preston, we combine reliable delivery, personal service, and a commitment to local produce.
Clegg’s began as a small family-run cheese merchant, with Mark Clegg personally delivering local farmhouse cheeses. Over the decades, we’ve grown into one of the region’s leading chilled and ambient food suppliers, while staying true to our roots: family values, strong local connections, and a passion for quality. In 2024, as the company celebrated its 40th year, Mark decided to step down and sold the business to his daughter Lucy and his son Richard.
We take pride in offering personalised service for every customer, whether it’s a school, healthcare provider, restaurant, or independent retailer. Our focus on local sourcing, sustainability, and consistent quality has helped us build long-term partnerships with customers who trust us every day.
